Social, Political, and Legal Corruption

Introduction
For thousands of years our world has been going through cycles that repeat again and again and again. Unfortunately most of us are not able to learn from the mistakes made by our ancestors and therefore the cycles repeat during our lifetimes.
The cycles occur in many different areas of life, and in many different ways, and there are usually smaller cycles inside bigger cycles. But the cycles themselves usually have four major phases:
- Peak: This phase is usually accompanied by a period of peace and prosperity.
- Decline: The phase usually coincides with a gradual but systematic decay in social, political, and legal standards.
- Bottom: This phase usually begins with serious hard times, war, pestilence, and the destruction of the infrastructure of a nation (roads, bridges, farms, factories, cities, homes, utilities, and fiat money).
- Improvement: This phase usually begins when a significant majority of the common people publicly condemn evil behavior and they insist that ethical and moral standards be followed. This gradually leads to phase one and the cycle repeats again and again and again.
I was born in the year 1949 and phase three and World War II had recently ended. I was a child and a teenager during phase four but at that time I was not aware that I was living through phase four. Everything seemed normal to me. Prayer was allowed and encouraged in public schools. Children could walk to and from school without being molested. Most children only got sick occasionally and many students had perfect school attendance for an entire school year. The coins I carried in my pants pocket were made of copper, nickel, and silver. Anyone could exchange a one-dollar paper bill at any bank for a one-dollar silver coin that was made of silver. Anyone of any age could buy a firearm and ammunition at any store that sold these things or by mail order. Except in rare circumstances a person who had been tried and convicted of murder was executed by the government. Abortion was illegal and marital infidelity was the only socially acceptable grounds for divorce. After I got married and we had children I felt like the overall economy was in good shape because most of the people I knew had jobs and there was very little crime. There were no school shootings and nobody intentionally drove a huge truck into a crowd of innocent people. I did not understand that I was living in phase one. However, prayer was no longer permitted in a public school, and my coins were made of scrap metal, and paper money could no longer be converted into silver or gold at a fixed exchange rate, and capital punishment was gradually being replaced by life imprisonment in many states, and divorces were being granted for any reason. As time passed problems began to be reported on the radio and television, and in the newspapers and magazines that I read. I gradually began to suspect that we might be experiencing a recession. I did not realize that I was living in phase two and that phase two was going to last a very long time. However, I began to pay more attention to major events and I began to acquire a lot of practical knowledge about how to survive if things got really bad.
In the year 2022 it is my opinion that our world is currently at the beginning of phase three above. Phase three may last for years or decades. Phase three will not end until most people have had enough of phase three and they are ready and eager for phase four to begin.
I do not know how the future will unfold. But due to my age I suspect I will pass on before phase four begins again. However, during the course of my life I have made a conscious effort to teach my children and my grandchildren how to be decent, honest, productive at their jobs, law-abiding, and respectful to the teachings of the Holy Bible. Hopefully some of my children and grandchildren can be a positive influence in society when phase four begins.
Discussion
As I briefly mentioned above it is my opinion that the entire world is about to enter phase three and there is nothing we can do to stop it because of the following problems.
- Social Behavior: For a great many years a significant number of people have enjoyed watching movies where the heroes are assassins, thieves, liars, and sexually perverse. Many people under the age of 50 only have "situational ethnics" and they will take advantage of another person or a business if they believe they can get away with it. Some of our churches now approve of behavior that the Holy Bible strongly and repeatedly condemns. In the year 2022 the concepts of honor, integrity, dependability, marital commitment, and marital fidelity have been seriously devalued as desirable traits in the hearts and minds of a vast number of people. However, many people still talk favorably about these traits but they do not consistently practice these traits in their daily lives. If the majority of the people in a nation do not practice these traits then why should we expect our leaders to possess these traits? How can we condemn our leaders for doing things in public when we do the same things in our daily lives?
- Political Ethics: Some politicians are not ashamed of committing acts of election fraud and for telling outright lies. They know they will not be prosecuted and that nobody will be able to do anything about it. Their behavior will only get worse with the passage of time and the people of a nation will pay the price for the dishonesty of these unscrupulous politicians. The federal agencies that were created to protect the people of a nation have become the instruments by which honest people are being unjustly harassed and punished. For example, in 1972 the Republican President Richard Nixon was involved in the illegal entry into the Democratic headquarters in Washington, D.C. and the scandal that resulted led to his resignation as President of the USA. In 1996 the Democratic President Bill Clinton forcibly raped a White House female intern named Monica Lewinsky but he was never punished in any way even though there was a significant amount of real evidence that he had sexually violated her. In the year 2022 a significantly dishonest politician can get away with anything but a reasonably honest politician will have lies told about him and evidence will be created and planted in order to discredit him.
- Legal Standards: Real criminals are not being prosecuted. But an honest person who publicly objects to what is happening can be imprisoned without any type of trial. Major corporations are allowed to do anything they desire even if it harms a lot of people. Laws are being passed that will benefit a specific organization but those same laws may also result in the death of a lot of people. Organizations that were created to protect the common people, such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are not fulfilling their original charters and they are doing things and recommending things that are not in the best interests of people.
Too many things are broken in today's world. This situation is not going to change until phase three has leveled the playing field and truly honest people are able to significantly influence the direction in which their nation will begin phase four.
Conclusion
In my opinion phase four will be successful if a significant number of people read, correctly understand, and attempt to follow the guidelines established in a valid translation of the Holy Bible, such as the King James Version, the New King James Version, the New International Version, or the English Standard Version.
If you wish to survive phase three and if you wish to be able to make a positive contribution to phase four then may I suggest that you pray and that you ask God to protect your family. And also please ask God to guide your family into the future.
God has always given mankind the freedom to choose what we will do.
When God first created mankind in the garden of Eden, God gave mankind the freedom to listen to Him or to choose a different path. Adam and Eve chose the path the devil suggested and Adam and Eve were expelled from paradise.
When Moses was old he appointed Joshua to take his place. When Joshua was old he gave the Israelites the following choice:

15 "choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, . . . But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
God freely offers his love, mercy, and forgiveness to every one of us regardless of our past life choices, and that includes you and me. But each one of us needs to make a personal decision on whether we will accept God's love or postpone our decision for a more convenient time. Unfortunately it is impossible to remain neutral about the God of the Holy Bible.

As long as there is breath in our body it is never too late to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and to receive the mercy, forgiveness, and blessings of God.

However, it a dangerous gamble to postpone our decision about Jesus using the excuse that we are just waiting for a more convenient time.

If you have not already made a decision to believe in the God of the Holy Bible then perhaps now would be the perfect time to allow God to enter the door into your heart and soul.

21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne."

9 if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

But please be sure to select a Protestant Christian church that consistently teaches from a valid translation of the Holy Bible instead of some other "religious book." If you are unable to physically attend a nearby church then many Christian churches now broadcast their Sunday morning worship service live online. Just call the church you are interested in and ask if they broadcast their services online and ask how to access their online services.
